Movie: Brothers
Music: Ajay-Atul
Lyrics: Amitabh Bhattacharya
Singers: Mohd Irfan / Shreya Ghoshal
Label: Sony Music India
Ajay-Atul are brilliant composers, and after their superb and successful music in Agneepath, it's no surprise that they are again composing for Karan Malhotra's Brothers. This one is probably the best track of the film, which is sung by Mohd Irfan (Banjaara, Tu hi Tu, Dard Dilon ke) in the male version and Shreya in the female version. The song has some inspiring lyrics and lovely music and singing. Do listen to this one.
sooraj tera gardish mein hai
Dhalte huaa keh gaya
phir lauT ke aaunga main
nazdeek hi hai subah
your sun is drowning,
setting, it said,
I’ll come back,
the morning is close by..
gaaye jaa, gaaye jaa
gham mein hai sargam
gunguna ye dhun, gaaye jaa..
gaaye ja, gaaye ja
raat ke dhaagon se savera bun, gaaye ja..
keep singing, keep singing,
there is a harmony in the sorrow too..
hum this tune, keep singing..
keep singing, keep singing,
be the morning of the threads of night, keep singing..
gaaye ja, gaaye ja
gham mein hai sargam
gunguna ye dhun, gaaye ja
apna hi apna kyun kehlaaya hai
kaise koi tay karta hai kaun paraaya hai
ek wohi rishta teri kamaai hai
dard ke pal mein jisne tera saath nibhaya hai
TooTa huaa to kya sitaara tu
kisi ka ban sahaara tu..
why is the one who is yours, called yours,
how does one decide who is not yours..
that one relationship is your earning—
who has been with you in the moment of your pain..
even if you are a broken star, you are a star,
(a comet is often called a TooTta taara, a broken star in Hindi.)
be someone’s support..
gaaye ja, gaaye ja
raat ke dhaagon se savera bun, gaaye ja...
gaaye ja, gaaye ja
gham mein hai sargam
gunguna ye dhun gaaye ja
ho.. aankhon mein rakhna sapne tu kal ke
tujhko lekin un tak jaana hoga khud chal ke
majhdhaaron se tu haar nahin jaana
saahil tujhko paana hoga lehron mein Dhal ke
hai zindagi wohi jo chalti hai
ye gir ke hi sambhalti hai
keep the dreams of tomorrow in your eyes,
but you’ll have to reach them walking on your own.
don’t you lose against the currents,
you’ll have to reach the shore by moulding into the waves..
life is what goes on,
it falls and then pulls itself back up..
