‘Internet can force change in Myanmar’
‘People power’ via the internet could help shame Myanmar into accepting foreign assistance for cyclone victims, UK PM Gorden Brown said on Monday.
Hailing the internet as the modern force for change, Brown said the web meant the tragedy - which is thought to have some 134,000 people dead or missing- could no longer be kept as a secret. “It is true in Myanmar we have not able to get as much food and supplies that we would like, but now a country like Myanmar cannot remain hidden,” he said at a conference. “Direct people power is not just going to be a force not just for individual countries but for foreign policies as well.”
Brown predicted that “weather it is famine, cyclones, or whatever, pressure from the people will force government interaction”. He suggested that internet could have helped give more details of Rwandan genocide in 1995 as it was developing.
Blogs were not forcing the government to act and be accountable, and could help force change, he added. “They could feel people coming to express their anger about certain events. The mood could have an impact that means governments would be forced to change their institutions,” he added. AFP

What they should be worried about is how much time they spend on IM, in place of their homework. In fact, parents should think about starting IM themselves.”
She added: “The study took several years. An IM language has an effect on children’s communications skills but does not ruin heir linguistic skills. The kids have to communicate and their message across in a language that is common among people they are communicating with. How we talk in a board room is not the way we talk to our best friends. That’s why the style changes when kids get online.”
According to Tagliamonte, words like LOL(laugh out laugh), OMG(oh my god) and TTYL(talk to you later) used while SMSing shows the children ability to adjust to the needs of the medium so that that can interact with the community they are in.
“Contrary to popular belief that IM is breaking down English language, we found that online shorthand is actually not detrimental. Our study shows that while kids use words like ‘gotta’ and ‘gonna’ in IM, they do use ‘shall’ and ‘will’ while communicating formally. I would encourage my child to use IM simply because it means using a fluid language. This automatically hones their skill with English,” Tagliamonte said. Talking about their conclusions she said: “In the 1.5 million IM words among 72 teenagers, the use of short forms, abbreviations and emotional languages is infinitesimally small, less than 3%.

The Bhaktikal in India - The age ruled out by Akbar was a great gift to India . He was not only responsible for the good governance in India . He had many incredible qualities in him . Though he was a muslim but even then he had a great respect for the hindus and the Hinduism in his heart . Whatever may be the reason for the grace of God on India at that time but it really was a great time for indians and India . All the people in India were blessed .All had a calm mind and a very sentimental heart in which god lived himself .The saints like Kabirdas ,Surdas , Mirabai , Tulsidas , raidas and many others took birth allover in India .They all possessed a great devotion for God.They were always satisfied .Their self-satisfaction can be expressed by a story of saint Raidas -
Once a merchant had to go out of village and he thought that he should keep his golden ornaments and precious stones to any such man who is reliable .In his view no ane was as honest in the village as the Saint Raidas . He then took all his assets to the saint and asked him whether he would help him .The saint agreed to save his assets and told him to keep the ornaments on the place of his will in the saint's house . After few days when the saint's wife was cleanning the house she did'nt see the ornaments and dumped it with the garbages .Both of the couples were not aware of the ornaments and didn't remember them even .When the merchant came back and asked for his assets the saint told him to see it on the same place where he had kept it .He got nothing on that place and started shouting and crying ,saying that the saint had cheated him .But the saint was not bewildered on the merchant's reaction .He took the merchant to the bank of a river and told that he didn't have any indulgence in these material things then why should he steal those things .Why should he steal his gold and stones when he was able to get a lot of them .Merchant asked how ? Raidas just dipped his hands in the river and when he took his both fists out the merchant was shocked to see radient big stone named 'Paras' in his hands .When the saint get ferrous things in touch with the stone whole of the object the transformed into a

Javed Akhter and Jagjit Singh, in album called SILSILAY, joined hand after long time and produce simply unforgettable ghazals. My pick of all was this one the lyrics and the delivery of words is special. If you are a sensitive person I am sure you will love this ghazal bcaz of its lyrics and with Jagjit Singh Sahab?s voice makes it gem.

The very beautiful ghazal used in the movie AAP KO PEHLAY BHI KAHIN DEKHA HAI. Nikhil Vinay composes this very soulful master piece Asha gi?s voice gives a good support to Jagjit Sahab. This is a very romantic ghazal. The lyrics goes like this:
