Bajaate Raho/ Bajatey Raho Meaning

Bajatey Raho or Bajaate Raho is kind of a double meaning phrase, though neither of the common usages is sexual.

Bajana as such means to play [an instrument, etc.], and hence, bajaate raho means keep playing, as in, keep playing the music.

However, the word bajaana is also used as a slang these days, which means to beat someone up, mostly figuratively, that is, to make someone reach a really bad state. The slang is basically a shorter form of 'band bajana' which would have the same meaning.

Naagin Dance/ Nagin Dance Meaning

Naagin dance, literally dance of a female snake, is a dance based on a snake's movements as made by them while 'listening' to a been or pungi, an Indian music instrument, which is famous for this snake dance only.

Apparently, this is said that snakes can't hear this music [though they actually hear vibrations, just can't hear the music as we hear it, they listen mostly through their bellies and it sounds mostly mumbled to them, not a topic for here] and they look at the been and dance follow its end. However, I haven't personally seen them dance like that, except in movies.

Anyway, this particular dance has been famous in Indian snake-movies, where the snake woman used to perform this dance in snake as well as human form. And that dance, along with that part of music is famous have become famous as Nagin dance and its music.

O Meri Mata (Bajatey Raho) Lyrics Translation

O Meri Maata is a Bhajan, a devotion song, which is a based on the music of Tu Mera Hero from film Desi Boys. As such it's common in India to make bhajans on the music of film songs and almost all popular songs have bhajans made on their music. However, this is rarely seen in movies. After Atithi Tum Kab Jaaoge, this is second such incident. It's sung by Jawahar Dildar.
