Love ki Ghanti Lyrics, Translation, Video, Review [Besharam]

Movie: Besharam
Music: Lalit Pandit
Lyrics: Rajeev Barnwal
Singer: Sujeet Shetty

Lalit Pandit comes up with the first song of his first big budget full movie album, and looks like he's got a positive here. Though the song is pretty simple and straightforward, it follows the style of Kishore Kumar songs, and pretty well. The new singer, Sujeet Shetty yodels Kishore way too, and that's the point you realize it's VERY much Kishore Kumar style. Ranbir Kapoor and Amitosh Nagpal speak their lines in the song with his singing and hence are credited too.

The lyrics and translation for the song are given here. The dialogues are in italics and in brackets, some explanations can be found.

Love ki ghanti baj gayi meri
Dekha usko pyaar hua
Aankhein phat gayi
Tabiyat lipat gayi
Dil mera kood padaa

My bell of love rang,
I saw her and fell in love..
My eyes went wide,
the mood got awesome,
and my heart just jumped..

Pehle ladki thoda sa bhadki
Boli aaye ho tum kyoon yahaan
Main bola, mera hai good luck
Mujhe laayi yahaan teri maan

First the girl got a little furious,
Asked me why I had come there..
I said, it's my good luck,
Your mother has brought me here..

Maan ki aankh hai re..
Jise dhoonda gali gali,
Wo is maan ke ghar mili

It's mother's good eye,
the one you looked for here and there,
She's found in this mother's house..

[maa ki aankh is more of a slang which directly isn't a cuss word, but goes close to being that. Here, though, it's used in a way that is completely different, making it funnier.]

Haan us ki baatein, Nukkad ki chaay
Thodi meethi, thodi garam
Jaise teekhe pyaazi pakaude
Mirchi dhaniya ka damm.

Her talks are like tea of the nook,
A little sweet, a little hot..
As if onion fritters,
with chili and dhaniya [coriander]..

Gusse mein chamki
Dee mujh ko dhamki
Main Tass se mass na hua
Gaalon pe uske de daali pappi
Dil uska cool huaa..

She shone in anger,
and threatened me,
But I didn't move an inch..
(Instead) I gave a peck on her cheeks,
and her heart was cooled..

Chal phenk mat Pappi de daali
Nahi dunga, Hero hoon mai
Haan, wo to tu hai. Aage kya hua?
Tune change. O teri!

Hey don't brag, gave a peck!
Why, won't I? I am the hero!
Yeah, that you are.. Then what happened next?
Tune chane, O my God!

Wo khadi thi, main khada tha, nazar takraayi
Paas aayi, baahein thami, thoda sharmaayi
Pyaar se phir, us ne mujhko, shirt pahnaaya
Touch kiya to dil mein jaise gudgudi chhaayi

She was standing, I was standing, the eyes met.
She came closer, held my arms, felt a bit shy..
Then lovingly, she dressed me in a shirt.
When she touched me, there was a tickling in the heart..

Shirt bhi badal daali
Ye to setting ho gayi veere

Changed the shirt too!
This is all set brother..

Seene se mere phir wo lipat gayi
Aisa zor ka jhatka laga
Mere dil ke radio par
Sa re ga ma pa bajne laga

Then she hugged me,
Such a huge shock I got!
On the radio of my heart
Sa re ga ma began to play..

Kaanon mein mere dheere se boli
Mere hero the ab tak kahaan
Main rapat gaya wahi salat gaya
Chali pyaar ki mast hawaa

In my ears, she slowly said,
Where were you till now, my hero..
I slipped, ended there itself,
There was such a lovely breeze of love..

Dil bolaa Dil dolaa
Dil bhaaga, Dil bhaagaa
Dil bhaaga, Dil bhaagaa, bhaaga bhaaga Dil bhaaga
Dil kooda mera dil, jhooma mera dil, bhaaga

The heart spoke, danced..
The heart ran, ran, ran..
The heart ran, and ran,
The heart jumped and danced, and ran..

Love ki ghanti Baj gayi meri
Dekha us ko pyaar hua
Aankhein phat gayi
Tabiyat lipat gayi
Dil mera kood pada

Besharam!

Shameless!

Ban Besharam - Title Song Lyrics Translation [Trailer Version]

The Translation for the FULL VERSION is HERE.

Main nanga hua to
kaahe ki kaahe ki sharam
maai baap naa hi
na koi dharam

When I got nude once,
what is there to be shy of?
I don't have any parents,
nor any religion..

Tedhe medhon se kadak
Seedhe saadon se naram
Fun harfanmaula hardum

(I am) harder than the most difficult
(difficult people to deal with)
and softer than the simplest ones
Always fun and allrounder..

Aaja sab ko dikha de ban besharam
Dil khol seena taane ban besharam
aaja thumka laga le ban besharam
Dil khol seena taane ban besharam

Come show everyone be shameless,
With an open heart n pride, be shameless.
Come have a dance, be shameless,
Wholeheartedly, with pride, be shameless.

Be is for Beimaan,
Sha is for Shaitaan,
Rum pi ke cheete hum,
Besharam!

'Be' is for Be-imaan [that is dishonest],
'Sha' is for Shaitaan [Satan, evil]
And we live on rum,
So Besharam.

[This is not the actual meaning of Besharam, but a made up one. The actual meaning of the word is Shameless. For explanation see HERE.]

Guide to the Trailer of Besharam

Abhinav Singh Kashyap, having created Dabangg, is here with his second film, with an outrageous name, Besharam. The trailer is out, and here we are with the funny trailer, and the nuances of it.

The trailer begins with Ranbir singing in 'Sarson de Khet' that is Mustard fields, a Yashraj favorite. To clarify the Yashraj connection, the song is none other than Tujhe Dekha to ye jaana sanam, Pyaar hota hai deewana sanam, in a Punjabified avatar, with the first two words of both lines translated to Punjabi.

Tainu vekhya to ye jaana sanam
Pyaar honda ae Deewana sanam..

The introduction of Babli, the hero says Badmaash, i.e. rogue, Awara i.e. vagrant, Robdaar, that is overbearing, which is almost exactly the same as dabangg in its meaning, and lastly hoshiyaar, that is intelligent.

The first dialog from Babli is 'Mere seene mein dil nahi dost, Jigar hai jigar. Aur wo kabhi toot-ta nahi. naanv aega Babli.' that is, 'In my chest there is no heart, it's Jigar there. And it never breaks. And the name is Babli.'

As such, jigar means liver, yes, Liver. But somehow the word in Bollywood has become synonymous with something that makes a person very powerful. Not yet sure where is the origin of this problem.

Then, there is a song, that does sound fine, and then the heroine enters with her first dialog when Babli says, "Lagda hai teri ragon mein khoon nahi, rabdi daud rahi hai rabdi.." [It seems in your body, there is no blood running, but milk cream.] And the heroine's dialog is what christens the hero as the film's title - "Tu na, tera naam hona chahiye tha Besharam!" [You, your name should have been shameless].

The next bit is one with Rishi Kapoor, Neetu and Ranbir, that is real life dad, mum and son, as Ranbir asks, "Hainji aap kaun?" [What, who're you?] To which Rishi replies in quite a Haryanvi tone, "Tera Pappa babua, Chulbul Chautala, ar yo teri amma Head constable Bulbul Chautala". He's not lying as they're actually his father and mother, but not in the movie, where the dialog is just to show some arrogance over the rogue boy.

The fun doesn't end here. Abhinav decides to give a tribute to his first film, and while he had named Rishi 'Chulbul' in this movie which is Salman's screen name in Dabangg, it's the dialog that says it all. When Rishi says "Are Babli Chhodunga na Tanne!" that is, Babli I won't leave you, Ranbir replies "Are khud ko to chhuDa le mote, sirf Chulbul naam rakh lene se koi Dabangg nahi ban jaata!" [First get yourself out fat guy, Just by naming yourself Chulbul, you don't become a Dabangg].

Now, yes, Abhinav has made a mention of Dabangg in a good way, which would be a positive towards Salman Khan and bros, he has at the same time not Named Salman explicitly and used the word Dabangg. Interesting.

The last scene with Javed Jaffrey comes from a Rajkumar Santoshi movie. I mean, not really, just kind of.

Javed puts a pistol on Ranbir's head and says, "Hamaare Dhandhe mein galti ki sirf ek sazaa hoti hai.." and Ranbir shouts, "Maut!" and follows it up with, "Mujhe kya pata nahi hai? Picture main bhi dekhta hoon bhaisaab!" that is 'Do I not know? Even I see movies, sir!'. Oh, the bhaisaab here is the one with contempt, where Babli is trying to prove that he's more intelligent than he's thought of as.

And then, there is an epilogue.

Ranbir: Jai lai.. [In Haryanvi tone, "Take this", while bringing out a sock from his pant, right next to his pen**.]

Amitosh Nagpal: Je kya hai yaar! [What is this?]

Ranbir: Padding! Ladkiyaan karti hain na, impression achchha jaata hai. [Padding! Girls do it na, the impression is good.]

I hope I need not say what impression he's talking about. ;)

Ala Ala Bada Aala Barfi: Meaning for Swanand Kirkire version

Swanand Kirkire's version of Barfi! title song, which is almost equally good as Mohit's version, has just one line changed, the very first, that is.

Instead of Aala ala matwala barfi, it goes aala ala bada aala barfi. And hence, the meaning of Aala is different here. Here, aala is Urdu and means great, 'top quality' or top-notch.

However, aala is also a Marathi word, meaning 'has come', and is used as slang in Hindi too. So you can take the line as 'Barfi is great, very great', or 'great barfi is here.' However, the difference is not too much between both of them.

Why is the movie called Barfi?

Have you heard of Murphy Radio? Seen that cute kid they used for advertising? If not, here is a picture of the kid.

So, this Radio used to be quite famous for decades in India, and the baby, just like Parle n Amul ones, was a symbol that could be identified by almost anyone.

Here, in the story of the Barfi!, Ranbeer Kapoor's mother wanted a kid like the murphy kid, and hence decided to name him Murphy. And even though she died early, probably in childbirth, the kid was named Murphy.

However, since Ranbeer is mute n deaf, he cannot say Murphy, but in the way mute people speak, is able to say what sounds like 'Barfi!', and hence the name of the movie.

is dil ka kya karoon main kya karun (Barfi) Lyrics, Translation

Song: Main Kya Karoon
Movie: Barfi!
Music: Pritam
Singer: Nikhil Paul George
Star cast: Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Ileana Cruz

Dil ye mera bas mein nahin
Pehle kabhi aisa hota tha nahin..
Tu hi bata
Is dil ka main, ab kya karoon
Kehne pe chalta nahi
Kuchh dino se
meri bhi sunta nahin
Tu hi bata
Is dil ka main,
ufff ab main kya karoon
main kya karoon, main kya karoon..
is dil ka kya karoon, main kya karoon
main kya karoon..

My heart is not in my control
It has never been like this before
You only tell
What to do with this heart..
It does not obey me
It's not even listening to me for some days
You only tell
What to do with this heart
with this heart,
what to do, hey what to do..

Karta awaragi
Is pe to dhun chadhi hai pyaar ki
jaane gum hai kahan
Baaton mein hai pada bekar ki
Ulti ye baat hai
Aise halaat hain
Galti kare ye main bharoon
Ufff dil ka kya karoon
Main kya karoon..

It loiters around,
It's thinking only of love these days,
Don't know where it's lost
It's got indulged in useless things
It is a hostile situation
It makes mistakes n I've to bear the punishment
What to do with this heart
What should I do?

Dil pe mera kaabu nahin
Fitrat kabhi iski aisi thi nahin
tu hi bata
Is dil ka main ab kya karoon
Kehne pe chalta nahin
Kuchh dino se meri bhi sunta nahin
Tu hi bata
Is dil ka main ufff dil ka kya karoon
Main kya karoon

I don't have control over the heart
Its nature was never like this
You only tell
What to do with this heart
It does not obey me
It has not even been listening to me for some days
You only, tell
What to do with this heart
What should I do?

Aala Ala Matwala Barfi Lyrics Translation (Barfi! Title song)

After Shirin Farhad ki to nikal padi, Mohit Chauhan once again does a lot of onomatopoeia singing, with all the gudgud and budbud sounds, of diving, sinking, bubbles, etc. We've tried to put the best meaning for such phrases, however, since they cannot be exactly translated, and in some places have no meaning at all, some words could be missing the meaning/translation.

Movie: Barfi!
Music Director: Pritam
Singer: Mohit Chauhan
Starcast: Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Ileana D'Cruz

oo ae..
Aankhon hi aankhon mein kare batein
gupchup gupchup gupchup hoi, fus fus fus fus
oway.. Khwaabon ki nadi mein khaaye gote
gud gud gud ho, bud bud bud

He talks in eyes only
silently, whispering..
He dives in the river of dreams
(sounds of diving/sinking/bubbles)

Ala ala matwala barfi
Paanv pada mota chhala barfee
Raaton ka hai ye ujaala barfee
Ghumsum ghumsum hi machae ye to uttpaat
Khur khur khur khur khurafati kare non-stop

the mellow Barfi has come..
Barfi is a blister in the foot
Barfii is the light of nights
being silent only, he is upto mischieves
mischievous, he does that non-stop.

Khur khur khur khur, bud bud bud bud
Gud gud gud gud gud maula isise bachai le

....
.... Oh God, save me from him

hey.. aankhon hi aankhon mein kare batein..
Khwaabon ki nadi mein khaye gote..

Kabhi na rukta re
Kabhi na thamta re
Gham jo dikha use
Khushiyon ki thokar mare

He never stops
He never stays
Whenever he sees sorrow
he kicks it with happiness

Palko ki harmuniya
Naino ki ga re sa re
Dhadkan ki rhythm pe ye
Gaata jaaye gaane pyare

The harmonium of his eyelids (which keep going up and down all the time like a harmonium's air-filler)
He, on the rhythm of heartbeats
keeps on singing lovely songs

Bhola na shamjho ye
chaalu khiladi hai bada bada
Sooraj ye bujha dega
Maarega phoonk aesi
chowk talaiyya pipal chhaiyya
Har kooche ki aisi taisi

Don't consider him innocent
He is a very clever player
He will extinguish the sun
such a blow he will give
in the yard, the pond, under the Peepal tree,
He leaves no street..

Ankhon hi ankhon mein kare baatein
Khwabon ki nadi mein khaaye gotay..

Barfi jo Amma Ji ki kokh mein tha soya
Amma ne marfi ka radio mangaya
Marfi munna jaisa lalla, Amma ka tha sapna
Munna jab haule haule, duniya mein aaya
Baba ne Ceylon wala station lagaya

Barfi was sleeping in mother's womb,
The mother ordered the radio of Murphy
The Murphy kid was mother's dream child
When the child came in this world slowly
The father set the station of Ceylon

Radio on hua
Amma off hui
Toota har sapna
Munna mute hi aansu bahae
Munna jhunjhuna sun bhi na paaye
jhun jhun jhun jhun jhun..

The radio was switched on
The mother got turned off (she died)
Every dream ended
The child sheds tears mute only
The child cannot listen to the rattling toy
(rattling sounds)

Ala ala matwala barfi..

Rockstar Dialogs during Sadda Haq, English Translation

Pata hai bahut saal pehle yahan ek jungle hota tha. ghana bhayanak jungle. Phir yahan ek shaher ban gaya, saaf suthre makan, seedhe raaste, sab kuch saleeke se hone laga. Par jis din jungle kata, us din parindo ka ek jhund yahan se hamesha ke liye ud gaya.. kabhi nahi lauta. main un parindo ko dhoond raha hoon, kisi ne dekha hai unhe? dekha hai??

English Translation:

You know, many years who, there used to be a forest. A dense, terrifying forest. Then a city was built here, clean houses, straight roads, everything began to happen in order. But the day the forest was cut, that day a flock of birds flew away from here forever.. never to come back. I am looking for those birds, has anyone seen them? Has anyone??

Kaaga re kaga re tose itni araj mori.. Meanings n ..

kaaga re kaaga re mori itni araj tujhse chun chun khaiyo maans
khaiyo na tu naina more, khaiyo na tu naina mohe piya ke milan ki aas..

O crow, I have so much of request to you, eat (my body's) flesh,
but do not eat my eyes, don't eat my eyes as I have a wish to see my lover..

That much was the meaning of the lines written above, but seems there have been some doubts regarding what a Kaaga is. Here, some people think that Kaaga is a bird, and using the context of Parindey along with it.

As far as I can see it, Kaaga is not the BIRD that you see in parindey.

For one, Kaaga clearly is a crow. In fact the Hindi word Kauva has come from the Sanskrit word 'Kaak' which becomes kaaga in Awadhi, Braj, and many other dialects. So it's a crow and no other bird. Also, to make it more clear, by mythology, as well as science, a crow is one of the most common creatures who eat dead bodies, and that is what the singer is talking here about.

Secondly, and probably more importantly, the naadaan parinda here, that is the immature bird, is just a way to call his own self, someone who has lost his home and started alone on the unknown paths of the world. The Naadan Parinda is NOT the crow that the singer wants to eat his flesh. And the crow being talked to is not the bird who is roaming in the world, his haal behaal thaka haara.

Matter of fact, this part of the song is almost completely different from the rest of the world, but at the same time is important here as it tells where the singer thinks his home is.

PS: If all of this was understood to you, my apologies. Because it was understood and implied to me too, but after the discussion going in comments under the post on the song, I had to write this.

Tum Ho - Rockstar ::: Lyrics And English Translation

Movie: Rockstar
Music: A R Rahman
Singers: Mohit Chauhan, Suzanne D'Mello ( Humming )
Lyrics: Irshad Kamil

Tum Ho Paas Mere
You are close to me

Saath Mere Ho Tum Yoon
You are with me like

Jitna Mehsoos Karoon Tumko
How much ever I feel you

Utna Hi Paa Bhi Loon
That much I get you

Tum Ho Mere Liye
You are for me

Mere Liye Ho Tum Yoon
You are for me like

Khud Ko Mein Haar Gaya Tumko
That I lost myself to you

Tumko Mein Jeeta Hoon
And I won you

Kahin Se Kahin Ko Bhi, Aao Bewajah Chalen
Come, let's go from here to there for no reason

Pooche Bina Kisise Hum Milen
Let's meet without asking anybody

Bandishen Na Rahi Koi Baaki
There are no boundaries anymore

Tum Ho
Only you are there

Kis Tarah Cheenega Mujhse Yeh Jahaan Tumhe
How will this world seperate you from me

Tum Bhi Ho Mein Kya Fikar Ab Humein
When you are here, what will worry us

Sadda Haq - Rockstar ::: Lyrics And English Translation

Movie: Rockstar
Music: A R Rahman
Singer: Mohit Chauhan
Lyrics: Irshad Kamil

Tum Logon Ki Iss Duniya Mein
In this world of yours

Har Kadam Pe Insaan Galat
Man is wrong in every step

Mein Sahi Samajhke Jo Bhi Karoon
Whatever I do, thinking it's right

Tum Kehte Ho Galat
You say is wrong

Mein Galat Hoon Tho Phir Kaun Sahi
If I am wrong, tell me who is right

Marzi Se Jeene Ki Bhi
To live the life I want

Mein Kya Tum Sabko Arzi Doon
Do I need to give request to you all

Matlab Ki Tum Sabka
Does it mean you got

Mujhpe Mujhse Bhi Zyada Haq Hai
More right on me than myself

Sadda Haq, Aithe Rakh
It's my right, leave it there

Hey, Inn Qataaron Mein
Among these queues

Yaa Udhaaron Mein
Or these favours

Tum Mere Jeene Ki Aadat Ka Kyun Khot Rahe Dum
Why are you choking the breath of my living

Besaleeqa Mein
I am mannerless

Uss Gali Ka Mein
I am from that street

Na Jismein Hayaa Na Jismein Sharam
Which doesn't have any dignity or shame

Mann Bole Ke Rasmein Jeene Ka Harjaana
Heart says customs damage living

Duniya Dushman
The world is enemy

Sab Begaana
Everything is somebody else's

Inhe Aag Lagaana Mann Bole
Heart wants to burn them down

Mann Bole, Mann Se Jeena Ya Mar Jaana, Haan
Heart says, live as wanted or die

Oh Eco-friendly
Oh Eco-friendly

Nature Ke Rakhshak
Saviour of the nature

Mein Bhi Hoon Nature
Me too is nature !

Rivaajon Se, Samaajon Se
From the customs and society

Kyun, Tu Kaate Mujhe
Why do you cut

Kyun Baante Mujhe Iss Tarah
And share me like this

Kyun Sach Ka Sabak Sikhaye
Why do you teach the lessons of truth

Jab Sach Sunn Bhi Na Paaye
When you can't bear it

Sach Koi Bole Tho Tu
If someone talks the truth

Niyyam Kaanoon Bataye
You will talk about rules and regulations

Tera Darr
Your fear

Tera Pyaar
Your Love

Teri Waah
Your praise

Tu Hi Rakh, Rakh Saale
Keep it with you, idiot

Rockstar Songs Review (2011, A R Rahman, Mohit Chauhan)

Rockstar starts with Mohit Chauhan singing Phir se ud chala. The song, that starts with a relatively light mood and gets a breezy effect from Mohit, like the words of the song, gets remixy by the end, actually a nice experiment that will catch on slowly. One very interesting part of the song, though, was the background vocals in the beginning and end.

Jo bhi main kehna chahoon, barbaad karen alfaaz mere. Frankly, I am a fan of this one line written by Irshad Kamil. And then A R Rahman in an experimental mood, composing like there is someone actually singing at a concert. And Mohit Chauhan singing that. I don’t think there was anything more required, but still, the song has a lovely video as an add-on. Seems I wrote a lot just praising the song, but guess it’s worth that. Do listen.

Katiya Karoon. Dangerous words. Rocking music. And superb vocals by Harshdeep. If she has managed to be not famous even after Rang De Basanti, this time Rahman is definitely gonna make her known. DO listen.

Kun Faaya Kun is once again Rahman at his regular divine stuff. I sometimes wonder how Rahman is so easily able to create such wonderful songs in the same segment, one after the other, and all of them equally great. Yes, good is a small word here.

The next, Sheher mein, is a Very exceptional number, where one person tells how to sing, that is what to do, followed by lines, followed by Ranbir that is Mohit singing them again. While Karthick sings the song as a regular singer, Mohit takes every line in a stylish mood and you just enjoy the difference.

Hawa hawa, featuring Rahman’s Foreign language gang with Mohit Chauhan, has an Arabian touch in its music and arrangements, while Mohit again sings with some more experimentation. Wondering how much of experiment is going to be there with his voice in just one album. Not a quick catch, may be interesting with a video though, as the song has some interesting words with a conversational style.

Aur ho, the next song, that begins with Alma Ferovic’s voice, is the first true rock number of the album. Even though the background of the song is quite light in most of the song and has a very familiar Rahman touch, but Mohit’s voice gets incredibly high in some places, like an all new rockstar. Do listen for a nice glimpse of that old Rahman.

Rahman and Mohit’s O Naadan Parindey, which is already a lovely composition in itself, has got a LOT of experimentation done by Rahman in background and foreground, and unless you listen to the song a few times you’ll find a song a little difficult to follow. But whatever you do or do not, make sure you listen to Kaaga re kaaga re part sung by Mohit. Lovely, no, Very lovely one.

When I heard the 30 second preview of Kavita Krishnamurthy Subramaniam’s Tumko pa hi liya, I thought of it as a very regular song, and was wondering if Rahman should have given it to Madhushree to making it a little more interesting.

I was wrong.

Rahman makes a lovely slow number with a nice, light Indian-Western fusion with a lot of Tabla, while Kavita just sings the slow, long melody in the foreground. A song that will take some hours to get on, and a lot, lot more to get off.

Next to next after tum ko, comes tum ho, almost the same tune sung by Mohit Chauhan, with all different style and arrangements, so much so that it’s difficult to guess its the same song if you’re listening to both for the first time. Mohit sings the song much more beautifully, but not taking much away from Kavita’s version as what she sings is again equally different.

Tango for Taj, the three minute instrumental, is a common, but nice, and to some extent engaging track that one would actually like to dance on. While Dichtomy of Fame, based on Shehnai and guitars, is one instrumental piece in long time I really liked, even though I don’t think I have much of an ear for instrumental pieces.

The last track, The Meeting Place, is rendition of a single sentence by Ranbir, based on Rumi’s poem. All I have to say is that if they had not given this one, people probably would ask for it after watching the movie.

And if you are wondering where is Sadda Haq, it’s between Kavita’s Tum ko, and Mohit’s Tum ho, but had decided to avoid until the end. Have still to play it.

Orianthi. Superb guitars from the first second.

Besides that, I don’t know much about Sadda Haq aithe rakh. The song is completely anthem-ish. And it gives you a high like it should, even though the best part of the song is already listened by almost everyone, tens of times in my case. The song is expected to do well everywhere, including country, overseas, in Punjab and out of it (talking of the language), on youtube, and probably even on your website if you put it there. You can listen to it while exercising, or getting ready for an exam. If you’re going for some protest, it’s a must have, be it social, political, or emotional. In short, Sadda Haq aithe rakh is a song for many seasons. And you can probably buy the CD for this song alone.

Enough said.

Kun Fayakun Meaning (Context: Rockstar song)

If you Google for the meaning of Kun Fayakun, you would somewhere find the words 'Be! And it is' and probably the detail that it's from Arabic.

Well, the meaning, which is literal, has something to do with the creation of this world, as per the Holy Qur'an. Even though Qur'an at various places says that the Earth and Heaven were created in six days, the part that mentions Kun Fayakun goes something like 'When He decrees a thing, He says to it only: "Be!" And it is.'

And it seems that as per the holy book that is how this world was created, instantly, with the phrase Kun Fayakun.

Also the song says jab kahin pe kuch nahi bhi nahi tha, vahi tha vahi tha, that is, when there was not even nothing, He alone was there.

This is what I have been able to find with the various resources available at the point. Any suggestions/discussions are welcome.

Katiya Karoon Meaning

Katiya Karoon tera roon (कतिया करूं तेरा रूं) means I will spin your cotton. Basically katiya here means to spin cotton (सूत कातना), and roon here is rooi, that is cotton.

Hence, the meaning of the line Katiya karun tera roon main saari raat katiya karoon is I'll spin your cotton whole night, suggesting she'd do anything for him the whole night.

Saada/ Sadda Haq, Aithe Rakh Meaning (Rockstar)

'Saada Haq, Aithe Rakh' in Punjabi, literally means '(It's) our right, keep it here.' Basically here the singer is saying it's our right, or my right, and you'll have to give it to me, in an assertive manner.

Saada Haq Aithe Rakh is a rock song from Ranbir Kapoor's Rockstar, composed by A R Rahman.

Tujhe Bhula Diya - Anjaana Anjaani ::: Lyrics And English Translation

Movie: Anjaana Anjaani
Music : Vishal - Shekhar
Singers : Mohit Chauhan, Shekhar Ravjiani, Shurti Pathak
Lyrics : Kumar, Vishal Dadlani

Naina Lagiyan Barishan
My eyes cry a rain

Tu Sukke Sukke Sapne Vi Pijj Gaye
Even the dry dreams got wet by tears

Naina Lagiyan Barishan
My eyes cry a rain

Rove Palkan De Kone Vich Neend Meri
Sleep cries in the corner of my eyelids

Naina Lagiyan Barishan
My eyes cry a rain

Hanju Digde Ne Chot Lage Dil Te
My heart got hurt by tears

Naina Lagiyan Barishan
My eyes cry a rain

Rut Birha De Badlan Di Chaa Gayi
This cloudy weather is separating

Kaali Kaali Khaali Raaton Se Hone Lagi Hai Dosti
I am being friends with this dark, lone nights

Khoya Khoya Inn Rahon Mein Ab Mera Kuch Bhi Nahi
I have nothing of my own in this lost path

Har Pal Har Lamha, Main Kaise Sehta Hoon
How can I bear this every moment

Har Pal Har Lamha, Main Khudse Yeh Kehta Rehta Hoon
Every moment I am telling this to myself

Tujhe Bhula Diya, Ohh
I've forgotten you

Phir Kyun Teri Yaadon Ne, Mujhe Rula Diya Ooh
Still why did your memories make me cry

Teri Yaadon Mein Likhe Jo Lafz Dete Hai Sunayi
I hear the words written in your memories

Beete Lamhe Poochte Hain Kyun Hue Aise Juda, Khuda
God, every moment is asking why did we got seperate like this

Khuda Mila Jo Yeh Faasla Hain
Oh God, all we got is this distance between us

Khuda Tera Hi Yeh Faisla Hain
Oh God, this is your decision

Khuda Hona Tha Woh Ho Gaya Jo Tune Tha Likha
God, what've you decided has happened

Do Pal Tujhse Juda Tha
For two moments I was with you

Aise Phir Raasta Muda Tha
Then our path got turned such that

Tujhse Main Khone Laga
I was loosing myself from you

Juda Jaise Hone Laga Mujhse Kuch Mera
Something mine started seperating from me

Tu Hi Mera Liye Ab Kar Dua
You may pray for me now

Tu Hi Iss Dard Se Karde Juda
You may part me from this pain

Tera Hoke Tera Jo Main Na Raha
I was not able to be yours though I was yours

Main Yeh Khudse Kehta Hoon
I am telling this to myself

Tujhe Bhula Diya, Ohh
I've forgotten you

Phir Kyun Teri Yaadon Ne Mujhe Rula Diya Ooh
Then why did your memories make me cry

----- These lines are in the movie, though not in cd -----

Tu Nahi Toh Inn Labon Pe Ek Shikayat Reh Gayi Hai
If you are not here, there remains a complaint on my lips

Door Hi Jab Karna Tha Toh Paas Kyun Laaya Khuda
Oh God, if you got to separate, why you brought us together

Khuda Kabhi Tujhe Bhi Toh Pyar Hoga
God, you also will fall in Love someday

Khuda Judaa Tera Yaar Hoga
And your Love will leave you

Khuda Jaanega Tu Faaslon Ka Hai Yeh Dard Kya
God, then you will realise this pain of separation
