Auliya Meaning

Auliya [Devanagari:औलिया,Urdu:اولیا] is an Arabic word meaning friend, helper, supporter, patron or protector. It's often used to designate the status of a saint.

The word is most commonly known in India by the name of the famous Nizamuddin Auliya whose mausoleum (dargaah) is in Delhi.

Aflatoon Meaning

Aflatoon today is a word that is used for an eccentric, sometimes even a mad person.

As such, the word is a distorted form of Plato, which cannot be spoken in Arabic due to absence of 'P' sound and ended up becoming Aflatoon, and was picked up in Urdu and subsequently by some Hindi speakers, also because of the interesting sound the word makes.

As for the meaning, it probably comes from the questioning, curious nature of Plato, which is considered strange by common people.

Zaaman Meaning

Zaaman is an Urdu word with an Arabic root, and means a guarantor, or a custodian. In the song mere dil ka zaaman tu hai from Teri Rehmatein, the intent is to say that the heart actually belongs to the person in question even though she, the singer has it.

Zohra-jabeen/ Zohrajabeen Meaning

Zohra-jabeen, is more or less a mixture of Arabic and Persian words which is excepted in Urdu and is used quite in the language, and loosely means someone with a shining forehead.

Zohra is considered a form of Arabic Zahra, which means shining, while Jabeen means Forehead, and hence the meaning, one with a shining forehead. However, Zohra, as per some people, means Venus, which is a morning star and a goddess of beauty as per Roman mythology, though with that we may in turn conclude that Zohrajabeen is one with a shining forehead, like Venus, that is.

Zohra-jabeen is the title of a song in the movie Ekk Deewana Tha.

Kun Fayakun Meaning (Context: Rockstar song)

If you Google for the meaning of Kun Fayakun, you would somewhere find the words 'Be! And it is' and probably the detail that it's from Arabic.

Well, the meaning, which is literal, has something to do with the creation of this world, as per the Holy Qur'an. Even though Qur'an at various places says that the Earth and Heaven were created in six days, the part that mentions Kun Fayakun goes something like 'When He decrees a thing, He says to it only: "Be!" And it is.'

And it seems that as per the holy book that is how this world was created, instantly, with the phrase Kun Fayakun.

Also the song says jab kahin pe kuch nahi bhi nahi tha, vahi tha vahi tha, that is, when there was not even nothing, He alone was there.
