Karthik Calling Karthik Music Review

Music Review of the album Karthik Calling Karthik (2010):-

1. Hey Ya
Very different and represents the current trend of songs preferred by audiences from Bollywood Music industry. Superb mix of English and Hindi lyrics. Hit status written all over it.

2. Uff Teri Adaa
This song is even better then the first. Beginning is slow and I was put off but 1 minute into the song the foot tapping disco music is hard to dislike. Singing of 'Uff teri adaa' wordings is where this song elevates to a new level.

3. Jaane Ye Kya Hua
Rythm is lacking and there is nothing to hold on to in terms of lyrics. K.K. has performed beautifully but overall the song doesn't work.

4. Kaisi Hai Ye Udaasi
Takes more than a minute to start, the voice that is but worth waiting for Kailash Kher. If slow and painful love lost songs are your picks then you will surely love this one.

5. Karthik Calling Karthik
Certainly creates an atmosphere of suspense, nothing special but could be enjoyed deep into the night.

6. Karthik 2.0
I can't believe Indian Music directors came up with this music. Looks straight from international rock band, something like Matrix theme music. Simply out of this world.

Overall Music Review of Karthik Calling Karthik

The album features music for what DJ's are known for. There is trance, electro, rock, you name it, this album has it all. The complexity of the music is seen in each song, the beginning and ending music varies almost completely. Credits to Shankar, Ehsaan & Loy for their effort.

Favorite Soundtrack: Uff Teri Adaa

Worst Soundtrack: Jaane Ye Kya Hua (not worst but least favorite)

Verdict: Get ready for the new age music sensation

Ratings: 3/5
